2018 Membership Classifications 

Family Golf Classifications

 

Members in these categories consist of a one person, married/cohabitating couple and one or both individuals play golf.  Members enjoy golf and clubhouse privileges, as well as club reciprocals.  Monthly food minimum and assessment fees apply.  Membership classification allows all dependent children through age 22 to play golf free of charge.  Children must be residing within the same residence as the member.  Residing at college is recognized as within the same residence.  All dues, minimums and fees include tax.

 

Junior Golf:  At least one member is age 30 or younger as of January 1 of each membership year.

Dues: $1661.37 Monthly food minimum: $43.20  Capital Assessment: $162.00  Bond Assessment: $54.00

 

Associate Family Golf:  At least one member is age 31-45 as of January 1 of each membership year.

Dues: $2864.43  Monthly food minimum: $81.00  Capital Assessment: $162.00  Bond Assessment: $54.00

 

Adult Family Golf:  Both members are age 46 or older as of January 1 of each membership year.

Dues: $3857.07 Monthly food minimum: $97.20  Capital Assessment: $162.00 Bond Assessment: $54.00

 

Senior Golf:  One or both members are age 75 as of January 1 of each membership year and at least one has been a member of the Cortland Country Club for at least twenty (20) years (does not have to be continuous years).

Dues: $1711.02 Monthly food minimum: $59.40  Capital Assessment: $162.00  Bond Assessment: $54.00

 

 

Single Golf Classifications

 

These membership categories allow one person to play golf, regardless if they have a family or not.  These members shall enjoy golf and clubhouse privileges as well as at reciprocals; however, no other family member has golf privileges, reciprocal privileges or use of the dining room unless the club member is present.  Monthly food minimums and assessment fees apply.  These categories of membership allow all dependent children through age 22 to play golf free of charge.  Children must be residing within the same residence as the member.  Residing at college is recognized as within the same residence.  All dues, minimums and fees include tax.

Social Membership Classifications

 

Members in this category enjoy full clubhouse privileges at Cortland Country Club and full clubhouse privileges at reciprocals.  Monthly food minimums and assessment fees apply.  All dues, minimums and fees include tax. Members in this category may ‘pay as you play’ 3 rounds of eighteen (18) holes or 6 rounds of nine (9) holes.

 

Clubhouse Social:  This membership is for one person, married/cohabitating couple with or without children living at home age 22 and under as of January 1 of each year**.

Dues: $475.50  Monthly food minimum: $81.00  Capital Assessment: $162.00  Bond Assessment: $21.60

 

 

Business Classification

 

This classification is designed for businesses in and around the Cortland community. All guests are required to follow the dress code policy.

 

For memberships with one person: $3000.00 dues, $162.00, assessment and $54.00, bond. This includes 10 complimentary greens fee passes. Monthly minimum is $60.00.

 

Businesses may add as many employees as they would like to the membership.

Adding a second person: $1500.00 dues, $162.00, assessment and $54.00, bond. This includes 5 additional complimentary greens fee passes. Add monthly minimum $60.00.

 

Adding a third person and any additional people beyond that: $1000.00 dues per person, $162.00, assessment and $54.00, bond per person, includes additional 5 complimentary greens passes per person, add $60.00 monthly minimum per person.

 

Any business with 5 or more people on their membership will also be allowed to add up to 5 more people on the membership as social members. No additional dues or bond and assessment, however, add $60.00 per month to the minimum per person.

 

Business memberships provide unlimited golf for any named employee members including league and tournament play.  Reciprocal golf is not permitted under this membership classification.  Family members of employees included under this membership are not included in the membership although they can play as guests. Certain restrictions and greens fees apply.

 

 

Younger Golf Classifications

 

The Cortland Country club is committed to the advancement of the game of golf and has four membership classifications which have been designed to appeal to and support young golfers.  Each of the classifications below has been developed and priced with the goal of making the country club accessible and affordable for young golfers across our region. The club welcomes players of all ages and abilities and encourages its members to utilize the teaching talents of our head and assistant PGA professionals and our practice facilities. It is the club’s goal to encourage area youth and young adults to take up the game of golf and to develop their skills in a warm and welcoming environment.

 

Scholastic Golf Membership

 

Members in this classification are between 12 and 18 as of January 1 of each year, living at home and in middle or high school. Scholastic members must be able to play by themselves and observe all golf rules and etiquette. Scholastic members must be certified by Club Pro for this membership.  This membership requires parental consent. The parent who signs the application accepts full responsibility for the payment of annual dues and other charges incurred on the account. Reciprocal playing privileges are not included in this membership and play is restricted to every weekday and after noon on weekends and holidays. Tournament participation is permitted in junior events only.  No monthly minimum, bond or any type of assessment fees apply. **

Dues: $299.00, tax included.

 

Collegiate Golf Membership

 

This membership category entitles a college student, 18-22 as of January 1 of each year, full golf and Clubhouse privileges. A completed application with a member sponsor, proof of matriculation and parental consent is required.  The parent who signs the application accepts full responsibility for the payment of annual dues and other charges incurred on the account. No food minimum or any type of assessment fees apply.  

Dues: $595.80, tax included.

 

Millennial Golf Membership

 

The member is age 22-34 as of January 1 of each membership year.  These members may play ten (10) 18-hole rounds or twenty (20) 9-hole rounds, or any combination of 9- or 18-hole rounds equaling 180 holes played. Members have full use of the Clubhouse, may participate in any social activities sponsored by the club and may bring guests for golf and Clubhouse activities.  These members do not have charging privileges in the Clubhouse, Pro Shop or Snack Shack. Tournament play is limited to non-major events, dependent children may not play golf free of charge and members in this classification may substitute in league up to three times per season. Reciprocal play is not permitted with this classification. ^^

Dues $516.00, tax included, no monthly food minimum, Capital Assessment or Bond Assessment.

 

Junior Golf Membership

 

This classification is for either a single or a couple.  At least one member is age 30 or younger as of January 1 of each membership year. Members in this classification enjoy full golf and Clubhouse privileges, can play all tournaments, league, and reciprocal courses.

Dues: $1661.37, tax included, monthly food minimum, $43.20, Capital Assessment, $162.00 and Bond Assessment: $54.00.

 

Other Classifications

 

Dine & Play Golf:  This membership category consists of one or two persons and includes fifteen (15) 18-hole rounds of golf or thirty (30) 9-hole rounds of golf or any combination.  One additional bundle of five (5) 18-hole rounds can be purchased if desired @$225 (rounds do not accumulate from year to year).  Anyone may use these rounds as a guest of the primary member.  Full clubhouse privileges will be afforded to the primary members, including use of the dining room, banquet facility, locker room, pro-shop and small private meeting rooms.  Golf privileges at reciprocals do not apply with this membership**. ^^ All dues, minimums and fees include tax.

Non-Resident: This membership category is for a single person, or a married/cohabitating couple, with or without dependent children living at home age 22 and under as of January 1 of each year whose chief New York State residence is located outside of Cortland County including Tompkins County North to the Cayuga County line, West to Route 34 to the East side of Triphammer Road and South to North side of Route 79 to the Tioga County line.  Onondaga County North of Route 20 to Skaneateles and anything West of Route 41A to Route 359 to Route 38A to 38 to the Tompkins County line.  Confirmation of address is required.  This category shall enjoy full golf, clubhouse and reciprocal privileges.  This category of membership allows all dependent children through age 22 to play golf free of charge.  Children must be residing within the same residence as the member.  Residing at college is recognized as within the same residence. All dues, minimums and fees include tax.

Dues: $2291.54 Monthly food minimum: $ 75.60  Capital Assessment: $162.00  Bond Assessment: $54.00

 

Temporary Golf:  This category is for former members of the Cortland Country Club who now reside outside of the resident boundaries as noted in the Non-Resident category.  This membership consists of one person, or a married/cohabitating couple with or without dependent children living at home age 22 and under as of January 1 of each year.  Full golf and clubhouse privileges are extended for a period of four (4) consecutive weeks.  A food minimum applies.  A written request including intended dates of membership is required.  This category of membership allows all dependent children through age 22 to play golf free of charge.  Children must be residing within the same residence as the member.  Residing at college is recognized as within the same residence**. All dues, minimums and fees include tax.

Dues: $486.95  Monthly food minimum: $91.80

 

 

**Members in these categories cannot participate in the following events as a member or guest:  Men’s and Ladies’ 18 hole member/guest, Men’s and Ladies’ President’s Cup, Men’s and Ladies’ Club Championship, Men’s and Ladies’ Member/Member (Gus Dillon).

 

^^ Members in these categories may substitute in the Men’s and Ladies’ League, a maximum of 3 times.
